Yoshi is a video game franchise which is a spinoff of the Mario franchise. It usually revolves around Yoshi or even more Yoshis. It began with the puzzle game Yoshi game, shortly after Yoshi's debut in Super Mario World.

Most Yoshi games are platformers, and the main goal is to reach the goal ring at the end. There is a specific series titled Yoshi's Island, and its games usually revolve around this while carrying around Baby Mario on the Yoshis' backs.
