Tail Thwomps are an enemy in Super Mario 3D Land. They are a variant of Thwomp with a tail on their back.

Physical description[]
Tail Thwomps have the appearance of a regular Thwomp, but with a raccoon tail on their backside.
Behavior[]
A Tail Thwomp jumps high in the air, floats for a short time using its tail, and then slams onto the ground.
In Super Mario 3D Land[]
There are only two Tail Thwomps, and both are encountered in World 5-1. Mario can defeat a Tail Thwomp by slamming onto it as Statue Mario.
