Mario & Luigi Paper Mario

The Syrup Jar (シロップ Shiroppu?, Syrup) is an item which first appears in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, and it has returned in the Paper Mario series, and Mario & Luigi series.

Description[]

In Mario & Luigi series, the Syrup Jar strongly resembles a jar of syrup. Mario and Luigi can obtain the Syrup Jar from ? Blocks or from enemies. Syrup Jars recovers BP[note 1] for any brother.

In Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars[]

Syrups are items that can restore FP. Three types are found in the game: Honey Syrup, which heals 10 FP, Maple Syrup, which heals 40 FP, and Royal Syrup, which maxes out FP.

In Paper Mario[]

Syrups appear again in Paper Mario, still, as items that recover FP. Honey Syrup and Maple Syrup return, however, Royal Syrup does not. Jammin' Jelly serves as the replacement for it.

In Mario & Luigi series[]

In Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga/Bowser's Minions[]

The Syrup appeared in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga along with the Ultra Syrup and Max Syrup. It recovers 20 BP to the user. Additionally, enemies and Queen Bean drop it too.[note 2]

In Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, Syrup Jars recover 15 BP.
