Spiny Hermits are enemies in Super Mario Galaxy 2. They are spiny-shelled mollusks that slowly crawl around, usually within dark areas, and usually act as moving obstacles for Mario to pass. Spiny Hermits have the ability to stick to ceilings.
Spiny Hermits are uncommon enemies in the Starshine Beach Galaxy and common enemies in the Boo Moon Galaxy. They are invincible and cannot be defeated, although Spiny Hermits are not particularly aggressive and can be easily avoided, such as from being stunned by Co-Star Luma.
