Special 1-3, is the forty-ninth level of Super Mario 3D Land.
Layout
Like the previous Special levels, the layout of Special 1-3 takes after World 2-3, however, new platforms have appeared. The level begins with a Question Block-shaped platform, followed by a Goomba-shaped one. As the second platform suggests, Goombas appear on the platform as they pop out of the Baddie Boxes nearby. The third platform is a Cloud-shaped platform where Mario can collect several coins and a Super Leaf (if he went through the red loop). From here, Mario can use the cannon to land aboard the Bullet Bill-shaped platform. Like the Goomba Platform, several Bullet Bills appear to attack Mario. In addition, in the line of fire of the Bullet Bills, Mario can hit several floating Question Blocks, there are also some small spaces that Mario can only fit into by crouching. The Cheep-Cheep-shaped platform Mario accesses next, like the previous enemy-shaped platforms, contains a number of Cheep-Cheeps, though the Cheep-Cheeps only jump out of the water near the Question Blocks on the platform, There are also a few P Buttons here. Using the cannon here, Mario (or Luigi) finds the final platform, a mock-up of a Super Mario Bros. styled Flagpole scene.

Star Medals
- Star Medal 1: While in the first cannon, Mario can shoot to the Fireball-shaped platform to his left to find the first Star Medal.
- Star Medal 2: While aboard the Cloud platform, Mario can use the cannon to shoot the next Fireball-shaped platform to his left and find the level's second Star Medal.
- Star Medal 3: Like the first two coins, Mario can obtain the final Star Medal by using the cannon aboard the Cheep-Cheep platform, and shooting the Fireball-shaped platform to his right.
