Not to be confused with Spinia or Spunia.

Spanias are enemies which appear in the Paper Mario series. They first appear in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.

Profile[]

Spanias are more evolved versions of Spinias. These guys, unlike regular Spinias, have spikes on their heads. Also, these enemies are colored orange instead of green.

In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door[]

One can find these throughout Rogueport Sewers and in the earliest stages of the Pit of 100 Trials. A whole lot of these enemies can be found in a hidden room with a Defend Plus badge in the sewers under Rogueport.

In Super Paper Mario[]

Spanias are fought in the Land of the Cragnons, Castle Bleck, and the Flipside Pit of 100 Trials. In this game, they attack the same way they did in the previous game by trying to spin at Mario and the others. The best way to take out Spanias is to either jump on them from a distance with Carrie, place Boomer in their way, or by using Bowser's Fire Breath.
