Sluggy the Unshaven is a giant Sluggy who is fought as the boss of World 5 of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and its remake Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3.

Sluggy the Unshaven is a translucent slug with a face, a visible heart, a few hairs on his head, and pink circle markings on his side.
In Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island[]
During the battle against Sluggy the Unshaven, Yellow Yoshi has to throw eggs at Sluggy the Unshaven's body to push it inward, after which the egg bounces off. Sluggy the Unshaven's weak spot is its heart, so Yellow Yoshi can damage Sluggy the Unshaven by pushing his body inward enough, leaving the heart vulnerable to getting hit.
It is impossible for Sluggy to damage Yellow Yoshi, making Sluggy the Unshaven the only boss who cannot harm Yoshi from contact. However, Sluggy the Unshaven slowly moves to the left throughout the battle, so if he moves far enough, Yellow Yoshi is forcefully pushed down a pit, causing him to lose a life.
When Sluggy the Unshaven has taken four total hits, the heart pops out. And he gets defeated by sliding off the screen.
