A Pearl on the floor
|First Game||Luigi's Masnion (2001)|
|Effects||Gives Luigi money|
Pearls are what determines a ghost's portrait frame when captured. There are 19 big pearls in the entire mansion. If Luigi collects all small and medium pearls after he collects all big pearls, he would earn total 30,400,000G for all.
Types of pearls
Small pearls are the easiest pearls for Luigi to get, and are the ones with the lowest value. A small pearl is worth 50,000G, half as much as a Gold Bar. A small pearl is awarded for every ten HP sucked up within one turn. Getting only small pearls from a ghost results in a bronze frame.
Medium pearls are averagely given to Luigi. A medium pearl is worth 100,000G. A medium pearl is awarded if Luigi sucked up fifty HP in one turn, then by sucking up every ten HP after that. If Luigi obtains medium-sized pearls, he will obtain a silver frame on the portrait of the ghost.
Large pearls are worth 1,000,000G. A big pearl is awarded if the green-hatted plumber sucked up ninety HP within one turn. If Luigi collects a large pearl, he will get a golden portrait frame.
