Paper Toads are recurring characters and incarnations of Toads first appearing in Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam.
History[]
Paper Toads once appear coming out of the magical book ending up interacting with the real world. They seem afraid of the real world often hiding in areas throughout the Mushroom Kingdom. The trio (Mario, Luigi and Paper Mario) were required by Toadette to find them during their missions which they can begin at the Lakitu Info Center. These were required to build the Papercrafts. After the trio saved all of the Toads, they were rewarded with the Trio Attack. As the story progresses, most of the Paper Toads befriended their real-life counterparts. Even they had their critical part during the plot being the "Toad Stairs" taking them from Mount Brrr to Neo Bowser Castle. Every time there is a Papercraft boss battle, they are seen carrying the Papercrafts from under.
