Nipper Spore

A Nipper Spore is an enemy which appears in the Yoshi platforming games, and they first appear in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. A Nipper Plant hatches from one of these.

Nipper Spores first appear in The Cave Of Chomp Rock. At first, a Nipper Spore slowly descends its to the ground, and upon landing, it instantly hatches. Even touching a Nipper Spore damages the Yoshi and activates the Countdown Timer. If a Yoshi eats a Nipper Spore, he swallows it automatically, and the Nipper Spore is not converted into an egg.

Yoshi's Island DS[]

Rather than just fall from above, some Nipper Spores are produced from a Nipper Dandelion, which they are blown off, usually by a Windbag. Aside from this, Nipper Spores act the same as in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.
