Link is the protagonist of the Legend of Zelda series. In most games, he is tasked with stopping the evil Ganon and rescuing the beautiful Princess Zelda. He was created by Mario's creator, Shigeru Miyamoto.

In Super Smash Bros.
Link wields the Master Sword as well as many of his traditional weapons as a playable character in all three installments of the Super Smash Bros. series. In Super Smash Bros. Melee, Link was joined by Princess Zelda, Ganondorf and Young Link.
Cameos
- Link appears briefly in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. There he can be seen sleeping in one of the various inns. Samus Aran from the Metroid series also makes a similar cameo.
- Link makes a cameo as one of the video game heroes in Donkey Kong Country 2 Diddy's Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Land 2 in Cranky's Video Game Heroes.
- Link is mentioned by Bazaar in his store if Dixie and Kiddy don't want to hear about his explanation on the mirror in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!.
- Link and Olimar make a cameo as two look-alike babies in Yoshi's Island DS.
- Toon Link's face makes a cameo on a badge in Donkey Kong 2.
- Link was going to make a cameo in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga but he got scrapped.
- Link made cameos in the WarioWare series in 9-Volt and 18-Volt's microgames.
