Link is the protagonist from the Legend of Zelda series. He is tasked as the chosen one in each of his games to stop the evil Ganon and rescue Princess Zelda. He was created by Mario's creator, Shigeru Miyamoto.
In Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
Link makes a cameo appearance, and can be seen sleeping in an inn.
In Super Smash Bros.

Link wields the Master Sword as well as many of his traditional weapons as a playable character in all three installments of the Super Smash Bros. series. In Super Smash Bros. Melee, Link was joined by Zelda and Ganondorf as well as Young Link.
Link cannot speak, unlike Mario.
