Invincible Mario (known as Rainbow Mario in Super Mario Galaxy) is the transformation Mario takes when he grabs a Starman. When he is in this form, he is faster and invincible for a short time. In Super Mario Galaxy, he is also rainbow colored, and leaves afterimages. A similar form is seen in the Smash Bros. series.
Powers and Abilities
As Invincible Mario, Mario is invincible and no other enemies can touch him. Mario also gains increased speed and is easily able to outrun some enemies. Mario is also able to defeat any enemy that is usually rendered invincible themselves such as Thwomps, Chain Chomps, and Dry Bones, however, can still lose a life by touching lava, poison water and pits.
Invincible Mario first appears in this game after Mario or Luigi gets a Starman.
- This is the one of the most common power-ups in the entire series.
- This power-up is considered the strongest out of Mario's power-ups as it is able to take out normally invincible enemies and (in some games) is able to take down Bowser in one hit.
- In most games, Mario can run much faster and take out non-enemy objects, such as spiked balls.
