Flitter is an enemy first appearing in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest that flies in the air and resembles a blue dragonfly. This enemy can stay and fly in one position or fly in a straight line left or right until the Kongs lose them. Flitters have very similar abilities to Hogwashes and Neckies as all three fly in a straight pattern or stay stable in the air. They can also be used to access high areas when jumped on.
Flitters reappear in Donkey Kong Land 2 where they have no major changes and once again reappear as enemies on Crocodile Isle. They also appear in the trailer for Donkey Kong Racing, but it is unknown what their role is.
Flitters reappear in DK: King of Swing and DK: Jungle Climber as enemies when they are charged into instead of being jumped on, only leading into the result of Donkey Kong becoming injured. They have the same traits in DK: Jungle Climber.
