Paper Mario
Not to be confused with Flower Power, a live-action segment of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!.

Flower Points, also known as Flower Power and FP, are a recurring feature in the Mario franchise. It allows Mario to use certain moves while in battle. If Mario's Flower Points are exhausted, he will not be able to use these special attacks.

In Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars[]

Flower Points were first introduced in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. In this game, Flower Points were a single statistic among Mario and his party members. The maximum amount of Flower Points Mario could have can be increased by finding an item such as Flower Jars. Flower Points can be restored by items like the Honey Syrup or a Mushroom or resting in an Inn.

In Paper Mario series[]

Flower Points appear in Paper Mario and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. This feature allows Mario to use attacks such as the Hammer Throw or the Power Jump, both of which require Badge Points to be worn. The stat remained much the same, but max FP could now be increased upon level up rather than needing to find an item to do so. At the beginning of the game, the amount of Badge Points Mario possesses is five and goes up by five every time he levels up.
