Dried Shrooms are an item featured within in the Paper Mario series, in which they first appear in Paper Mario. They are dried-up versions of Mushrooms.

Paper Mario[]

In Paper Mario, Dried Shrooms are very basic items that give Mario one HP. The weakest healing item in the game, Dried Shrooms can be purchased from Dry Dry Outpost's Little Mouser's Shop for two coins each. Mario has to buy one in order to see Moustafa. Rip Cheato is also an unlimited source of these items in the game. After he has purchased all of Cheato's products, Mario can keep purchasing these from him for sixty-four coins.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door[]

In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Dried Shrooms reappear with no new characteristics. Westside Goods prices this item for the low price of 2 coins, the lowest price of any item in the game, meaning Mario can purchase these to obtain cheaper Shop Points.

Despite is near uselessness, Dried Shrooms are featured a few times in this game. A Dried Shroom is given to Punio by his sister and eats it despite it tasting bad. Also, a Dried Shroom then a Dizzy Dial must be purchased in order to see Don Pianta. Finally, a Dried Shroom is seen as the true treasure of the Thousand-Year Door.

Super Paper Mario[]

In Super Paper Mario, Dried Shrooms now not only recover one point of HP, but now also cure poison. Although unavailable from shops, Dried Shrooms are constantly dropped by enemies that deal poison damage to Mario and his allies.
