DK's Jungle Parkway is the first track of the Special Cup in Mario Kart 64. It is a jungle environment based on various DK levels in his games. Most of the track has one edge to the water. This is the only track that has a Boost Pad as a prelude to the Cannon. Near the end, there is a bridge which leads to a cave. This track returns in Mario Kart Wii, in the Leaf Cup. This track belongs to Donkey Kong in the Phantom and the Flame Flyer.
Apparently, a glitch shortcut is found in the bit after the bridge to the cave. To perform it, Powerslide through the wall. When it returns in Mario Kart Wii, that shortcut is removed. However, in both games, there is a shortcut over the mud in the same area. Originally, all karts could perform this shortcut without losing speed. In the Wii version, an item that increases speed (such as a Mushroom or Star) is required for it to be effective since it is now off-road.
- In Mario Kart Wii, if the driver uses the look behind button while exiting the cave, the torches on the wall appear as if they are just starting to come on fire. This happens every time the driver looks back at the torches.
