Click-Clack, (called ビートル Beetle in Japan), is a blue/purple large beetle enemy appearing in the Donkey Kong series.

Games[]

Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest/Land 2[]

Click-Clack first appears in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and later in Donkey Kong Land 2. It first appears in Mainbrace Mayhem and makes its final appearance in Clapper's Cavern (Gusty Glade in Donkey Kong Land 2).

Click-Clacks appear quite commonly in both games. Despite looking like an ordinary enemy, they are quite durable as they cannot be defeated by a pouncing attack by one hit (they can in Donkey Kong Land 2). Instead, they flip over once pounced on and require another pounce to be defeated entirely. They can be defeated in one hit by barrels or a cartwheel/spin though. Once flipped over, they get back up in a few seconds. They also can be picked up once flipped over and can be thrown at other enemies to defeat them, along with Click-Clack itself.

Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!/Land III[]

While Click-Clacks do not appear in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! nor Donkey Kong Land III, they were replaced with Knik-Knaks in both games.

DK: King of Swing[]

Click-Clacks reappear in DK: King of Swing first appearing in the level Cactus Woods. Here, they climb on pegs trying to injure Donkey or Diddy in the process. They can be defeated from behind though. The monkeys result in an injury if from the front.

DK: Jungle Climber[]

Click-Clacks reappear in DK: Jungle Climber. They have no significant changes in the game and remain the same.
