Choco Mountain is the third course in Flower Cup of Mario Kart 64.

Layout[]

The hazards here are falling rocks and a chocolate temple can be seen here at some point. At a curve, there is a water trap located where the boulders fall from. This course is similar to Choco Island in Super Mario Kart. The course is very foggy, though this was likely done to make it so the graphics would gave time to load as racers moved up the track.

In Mario Kart 64[]

The track debuted in Mario Kart 64 as the third course in the Flower Cup.

When racing this course, there is a banister around the curve to prevent players from falling off to the other side in 50cc and Time Trials mode. However, the banister is not present in the other difficulty levels.

In Mario Kart DS[]

This course reappears in Mario Kart DS as a Retro Track in the Retro Cup, Leaf Cup, only being graphically updated to Nintendo DS graphics, and the banister is taken out completely. This was one of the 20 course that were available on Wi-Fi play.

Staff Ghost[]

The Staff Ghost uses Wario in the Dragonfly.

Missions[]

In Mission Mode, Choco Mountain is played on mission 4-6, in which Donkey Kong must break 10 Item Boxes within the time limit.

In Mario Kart Tour[]

This course returns in Mario Kart Tour, after over 16 years since his last appearance in Mario Kart DS. This course debuts in the Exploration Tour. The logos on the course have been changed to modern banners from Mario Kart 8. After crossing the chocolate temple, racers will enter a cavern with Swoopers, crystals and off-road sections. The large hump later on in the track now features a Glider Ramp.

In Mario Kart 8 Deluxe[]
