Bomb is a move used by Bombette and Admiral Bobbery in Paper Mario and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door respectively. The way to use the Bomb is different in both games as in Paper Mario, it requires 3 FP to use and in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, it is Bobberty's basic attack requiring no FP to use.

In Paper Mario[]

In order to use the Bomb, the player must press the A Button button repeatedly to fill up the gauge. The more the gauge is filled, the stronger the move is. Bombette will always attack the nearest ground enemy for high damage. Bomb is also Bombette's field move that can be used to destroy cracked walls and gain First Strikes against enemies. This is useful as it doesn't consume any FP to do so. Stronger versions of the Bomb known as Power Bomb and Mega Bomb also appear.

In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door[]

Using Bomb was made significantly easier. The player must hold the A Button button until the gauge is filled (similar to Bombette's Body Slam technique) and Admiral Bobberty will explode dealing damage to the nearest ground enemy. Like Bombette, Bomb also serves as Bobbery's field move that can be used to blow up walls and gain First Strikes against enemies.

Trivia[]

  • Although the move name itself doesn't appear in Super Paper Mario, the Pixl Boomer can use the Bomb to destroy blocks, crack in walls, and nearby enemies.
