Bitsize Candy is a yellow candy that appears only in Mario Party 8. This candy has a picture of an 8 bit Mario on the wrapper. When used, the player transforms into a "Bitsize" character. And they collect coins by jumping on --and breaking-- a coin block (with 3 coins inside) for every space they travel along the way. (For example: If the player rolls a "10", they receive 30 coins --3 coins for each space.) They get 3 coins from each Dice Block that they jump on. The maximum number of coins the player can collect is 30. During the time when the candy affects the player, they revert to an 8-bit format version of their character even if the character never appeared in an NES game (such as Yoshi, Wario, or Waluigi). The Bitsize Candy cannot be bought in candy shops, and can only be obtained by passing an area that gives a free random piece of candy. It is the only yellow candy to appear on King Boo's Haunted Hideaway. To get stars, this candy is useful for traveling to stars (which cost coins) by collecting coins along the way.

This candy costs the biggest price of coins (25 coins). But it cannot be bought at a candy shop. It can only be hidden on a Candy Space. If this candy is taken on DK's Treetop Temple or Shy Guy's Perplex Express, if the player lands on the Happening Space (Spear Guy in DK's Treetop Temple or Holly Koopa in Shy Guy's Perplex Express), they give the player 25 coins if they decide to buy their Bitsize Candy. This is the only candy to be 25 coins.

Also, this candy is similar to the Flower Orb (from Mario Party 7). However, instead of being used by just Princess Peach and Princess Daisy, the Bitsize Candy can be used by all characters.
